Od kiedy pamiętam, zawsze były u nas w domu psy i koty. Ja jestem zdecydowanym miłośnikiem psów. Koty – z wieloletnich obserwacji – uważam za egoistów i przychylam się do anegdoty:
pies- mój Pan daje mi jeść, pić, wyprowadza mnie na spacer, każde mi spać w swoim łóżku – on jest moim bogiem,
kot: mój Pan daje mi jeść, pić, każe mi spać w swoim łóżku – jestem jego bogiem.
Pies im dłużej przebywa wśród domowników jest tym bardziej rozumny, potrafimy porozumieć się bez wydawania poleceń. W tej chwili jest z nami suka wielorasowa (Ruda) wzięta ze schroniska. Mieliśmy wyżła szorstkowłosego, owczarki niemieckie a teraz od kilkunastu lat jedynie „schroniskowce”.

Every year between October 4-10 is International Animal Week, October 4 is World Animal Day, and all of October is International Animal Welfare Month. This date is associated with the anniversary of the death (October 3) of St. Francis of Assisi, recognized by Christian churches as the patron saint of animals.
World Animal Day (October 4) was established in 1931 at an ecological convention in Florence and it marks the beginning of World Animal Week.
World Animal Week is established to change the behavior and attitudes of people to animals and to make people aware that an animal is a living, sentient creature that also has rights.
Main animal welfare organizations:
– People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA),
– Animal Aid,
– EFFATA – Association of Social Initiatives,
– Society for the Protection of Animals in Poland (TOZ).
For the first time, World Animal Day was organized in Poland almost twenty years ago. During World Animal Week, organizations encourage the adoption of animals, make people aware of what awaits homeless animals, what are the dangers of pets and those living in the wild.
My family has always had a dog and a cat – the whole family loves Miśek and Felix – it would not be so fun without them – especially when the family meets in larger groups.

U nas w domu zawsze były zwierzęta ! Do dziś wspominamy niektóre z nich, szczególnie te, które wyróżniły się swoim zachowaniem, np. owczarek niemiecki „Boy”, jamniczka „Montana”, niezapomniany owczarek Collie „Dżagan” czy wreszcie najbardziej ukochana seterka irlandzka „Arizona”. Były też koty – „Ika”, „Iga”, kochany „Igor”, złoty „Karmel”, który uciekł od weterynarza i już nigdy nie wrócił, a szukaliśmy go przez pół roku. Teraz mamy „czarną panterę” – Mariana nazywanego również „Mańkiem” lub „Maniem”. Im więcej mam doczynienia z kotami, tym bardziej wydaje mi się, że są chyba bardziej inteligentne niż psy.
